John Pierson began working in the golf course and sports ground construction industry in 1979 working at many prestigious venues including most of the open championship courses. In 1995 he formed his own company John Pierson (specialist maintenance) Ltd.

The company specialises in the construction alteration renovation and specialist maintenance of all types of natrual sports surfaces and associated works.
